Leave of Absence
If you anticipate being away from work for more than three days due to a medical condition (including pregnancy), military service or training, or to welcome a new child into your family, you may request a leave of absence.
How to Request Leave
File a claim with MetLife online through MyBenefits or by calling 833-622-0135. Enter “Neighborly” for the organization when registering for MyBenefits.
- Submit your request at least 30 days before your leave begins.
- If your need for leave is unexpected or an emergency, submit your request on the next business day.
Parental Leave
If you have completed at least 60 days of service with Neighborly in the past 12 months, you may qualify for Parental Bonding PTO.
This benefit pays eligible associates 100% of their regular base pay for up to 80 hours to bond with their newborn, newly adopted or newly placed foster child within the first 6 months after the child’s birth, adoption, or placement. This leave can’t be broken up or used intermittently; the full allotment must be used consecutively.
Associates who work in states with access to state-provided paid family leave insurance benefits in connection with bonding with a newly born, adopted or placed child are not eligible for Parental PTO under this policy.
